Meet The Ambassadors - Reuben

Series 1 Episode 1

Welcome to our first ever episode of Meet The Ambassadors, in this series we will give you an insight into our eighteen hockey family. Our ambassadors not only champion our brand but get involved in photoshoots, feedback and help us with product development. Each ambassador brings their own qualities to our team, many selflessly give up their time to give back to hockey, something that is close to our hearts.

So we thought it would be great for you to see behind the scenes and get to know them a little better. We've given each ambassador 15 quirky questions and asked them to pick their 5 favourite and entertain us with their answers...

Meet Reuben. Budding film maker, superb hockey player and an all round Mr. Nice Guy. Reuben became an eighteen ambassador during the first lockdown when we spotted his amazing film making skills, which had an eighteen twist to them, coupled with his awesome hockey skills. Since then he's been ripping it up on the pitch and when he's not on the hallowed astroturf, he's been involved in our photoshoots and is a very valued member of our hockey family.

Friday Night - Stay in or go out? : Most definitely go out for a steak meal at The Shard.

If you won a million pounds : I would build a floodlit hockey pitch in the garden with a hot tub and cinema screen, with a chill box filled with Magnum icecreams!

Random Fact About Ruben : I don't like cake!

What celebrity would you class as a perfect 10? : I would have to say Marcus Rashford, because of his background and how hard he has worked and for what he has achieved as a player, but also for how he has used his position to help people and children less fortunate than himself.

If you had one magic power what would it be? : I would love to be able to teleport. My first stop would be snowboarding in Japan, then teleport over to India to see a game at the Mohali Stadium.

Current Challenge: Reuben has taken on a challenge to raise funds for his hockey club this half term. He's aiming to raise money for Stone HC and their new clubhouse by virtually cycling from Stone HC in Staffordshire to the Olympic Hockey Stadium in London. It's over 170 miles.
