Meet The Ambassadors - Danny
Welcome to the second installment in our Meet The Ambassador series. Each ambassador brings their own qualities to our team, many selflessly give up their time to give back to hockey, something that is close to our hearts.
So we thought it would be great for you to see behind the scenes and get to know them a little better. We've given each ambassador 15 quirky questions and asked them to pick their 5 favourite and entertain us with their answers...
Meet Danny. We first met Danny at a fundraiser that eighteen had been invited to come along to, at his club Sale Hockey club, South Manchester. The rest, as they say is history. Danny is now one of our ambassadors and is a valued member of our hockey family, in his own words, don't judge him by his answers to the questions!
Name : Danny
Club : Sale Hockey Club
Stick : R70 Extreme Low Bow; I was a big fan of the colour of the stick, I've never used a better stick than this and I don't think I'll look back again! It's my baby...she's called Ericka!
If you could have one magical power, what would it be? : My magical power, without doubt, would be to be able to open a Babybel in one swift motion.
What is you favourite film? : This has to be Scott Pilgrim Vs The World.
If you won a million pounds... : If I won a million pounds I would invest in Altricham Football Club.
What food do you dislike and why? : Mashed potato, for no other reason than it's heinous!
What celebrity would you class as a perfect 10? : Brendan Fraser...nobody else is worthy of a straight 10/10!
So, in a nutshell that's Danny and Ericka, we can't fault him on his love of Babybels or on his dislike of mashed potato!
Up next time ... meet Roisin.

Throwback Thursday
Lots of you are trying to practice your skills at home and having structure to your day is vitally important at the moment. It helps the time to pass quickly and ultimately hones your skills. Here is a short clip of one of our eighteen ambassadors, Jack. He was at the PerfX hockey camp last year where they were having a go at the paddling pool challenge, set by @Waleshockey player @CerysPreston. I think he enjoyed it!

We are all in this together
Hockey isn't important right now. Our lives have been turned upside down by the Covid-19 pandemic. Here at eighteen we are doing everything that we can to help save lives and support our NHS; we urge the hockey family to do the same. Our end of season sale won't be launching right now, it's not important. We want you all to stay safe and look forward to brighter and better times.
When the hockey community is ready to get back to their teamates; we will be here for you and we hope that you will be there for us too.
Social distance: Stay safe: Save lives
From all the team at eighteen.
